Westmore Day Treatment Service provides acute day treatment for patients within the Brent North West integrated Community Mental health Services who suffer from serious mental illness. The service does not accept self-referrals. Most referrals will already have had contact with a service professional. Following referrals, a keyworker is allocated who will work with the service user on an individual basis and co-ordinate the overall package of care.
The Day Treatment Service offers a variety of individual and group interventions designed to reflect the needs of the individual and the current patient population, such as symptom management, relapse intervention, depression and anxiety management, all aimed to improve confidence, self-esteem and coping skills. In addition, there are the specialist skills of a psychologist, art therapist, and reflexologist available. The service is open Monday –Friday 9am-5pm.
