Service description:
Clinical Child Psychology provides a range of services within the Mental Health Trust.
The service is organised into three clinical sections: Child Mental Health Teams, Community Services, Paediatrics and Special Needs.
Both direct clinical work with children, adolescents and their families, plus indirect work (eg. consultation, teaching and training, liaison, research and service development) are provided.
A range of treatment models are offered with an emphasis upon combining approaches and tailoring interventions to suit the particular case.
Work in the different settings includes such interventions as psychological assessments, parenting skills and behaviour management.
