Our Facilities
The service is based in the grounds of Park Royal Centre for Mental Health, next to Central Middlesex Hospital.
It is purpose-built with modern, attractive living areas and gardens which are complemented by a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The in-patient unit is spacious and has:
- Therapy rooms
- Sitting rooms
- Baby changing facilities
- Fitted kitchen and separate milk kitchen
- Nurseries
- Large dining room
- Laundry room
- Access to two small enclosed gardens
- Exercise room
- Indoor/outdoor play area
Every mother has a single room to share with her baby, two rooms have en-suite facilities.
Coombe Wood can accommodate 10 mothers and 11 babies up to the age of 12 months (18 months if admitted for a Parenting Assessment). The addition of a sibling up to the age of 3 years old will be considered in certain circumstances. There are two family rooms available for couples admitted for parenting assessments
