Adult Day Services provide a range of therapeutic groups and activites across the borough of Hillingdon for adults of working age with acute or severe and enduring mental health problems. The day services' key tasks are to provide assessment and a range of group and individual interventions that are based upon evidence of best practice. Most referrals come from mental health professionals in secondary care.
Where users do not need intensive intervention they are supported to access mainstream activities in the community and develop to voluntary work, employment, training and further education, or social groups run by Hillingdon Mind (some out of hours).
The core value of day services is to involve service users in the development, delivery and monitoring of service provision that aims to maximise choice and social inclusion.
