The Adult Psychology Service provides direct treatment for a range of mental health difficulties and disorders. A wide range of treatment approaches are provided including cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal and brief psychodynamic therapies. Most treatment provided is time limited and of a short-to-medium-term nature.
All patients who are accepted on the waiting list after referral are sent a brief Assessment Questionnaire and an Information Sheet, which describes the service. Patients unable to complete the questionnaire should contact the department. Patients receive an assessment by a clinical psychologist prior to a decision regarding the suitability and nature of any treatment offered. Not all patients are offered psychological treatment.
Patients need to be between 18-65 years, living in the North Kensington catchment area and must be referred in writing by their doctor or another health professional.
