Our psychiatric nurses work in the community and are specially trained to work in mental health services. This means visiting and supporting people over 65 years of age at home to care for their mental health. The service operates 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
GPs, community psychiatric nurses (CPNs), social services, family members and primary care trusts can refer patients to the community psychiatric nurses’ service.
The community psychiatric nurse service can provide therapeutic and group activities every Wednesday at a specialist group called the Rendezvous Club.
