The Admiral Nurse Service is a specialist support service for carers of people suffering from dementia in the North Kensington and North Westminster areas. Anyone, including other professionals, concerned relatives, or a friend, or the carers themselves can make a referral to the Admiral Nurse Service. The carer referred needs to be caring for someone with a dementing illness, and must be aware that the referral is being made.
Referrals can be made by phone or in writing. The service is a team of specialist nurses who offer:

Advice and information on all aspects of dementia to carers and other professionals

Assistance to carers in organising practical help

Emotional support to carers including ongoing support after bereavement

Education and training for carers.
The Admiral Nurse Service provides support to carers who support or care for a family member with dementia.
