The Day Service is based on Kershaw Ward, the assessment unit at SK&CMHC. Occupational Therapists and nursing staff run the service. The aims of the service include multi-professional assessment, to provide short-term interventions, longer-term support for people with longer-term mental health problems and to restore people to their optimum level of mental and social well-being. The service provides transport to and from the Day Hospital by ambulance for people who have difficulty with mobility.
