Service Description

Nightingale PlaceThe service for Older People with mental health problems is predominantly based at the South Kensington & Chelsea (SK&C) Mental Health Centre with one continuing care home in the local catchment area in Marloes Road (Beatrice Place).

The majority of the work done by the team is carried out in the community with people in their own home. We also encourage and support the Carers / Relatives of older people with mental health problems.

The service works on multi-disciplinary principles and there are several branches to the team, including the Medical Team, Assessment Services, Kershaw Day Hospital, Community Occupational Therapy, Psychology Services, Speech and Language Therapy, Community Mental Health Nurses, Home Nursing team, liaison with the Chelsea & Wesminster Hospital, as well as Management. The service is part of the experimental training circuit from a number of professional courses. We also work closely with our colleagues in Social Services.
