We welcome referrals from health and social care professionals’ 24-hours-a-day from across England, assuming funding has been agreed with the relevant commissioners. We work in partnership with the local team from the point of assessment to a discharge.

In the case of urgent referrals an assessment will be undertaken and an admission decision will be reached within two hours. More complex referrals will be discussed at weekly referral meetings and the team may undertake to make a visit for assessment.

Admission Criteria

• Female
• Sectioned under the Mental Health Act (1983)
• Primary diagnosis of mental illness
• Age range 18-65 years
• Dual diagnosis or other complex needs
• Potential to return to the less restrictive ward or community placement
