The Service Description
The Soho Alcohol Treatment Service aims to provide an accessible and flexible health care service that is evidence based to clients and their families who are adversely affected by alcohol use.
The service aims to assist people with alcohol problems who live within the boroughs of Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster. We offer a range of individual and group treatments to enable clients to make changes in their drinking behaviours.
A multidisciplinary approach to treatment is provided, matching problem drinkers with complex needs, to reduce harm, control alcohol use and/or to abstain from alcohol use by means of a range of specialist approaches. This will include cognitive-behavioural therapies, psychotherapeutic support, client-centred counselling, relapse prevention strategies, anxiety and depression management, psycho-educational models and motivational interviewing techniques. Treatment intervention is given on an individual basis and/or in groups.
Referral to the Alcohol Service can be made via GP, Westminster Treatment Centre (020 7886 6485) or the Kensington & Chelsea Community Assessment & Primary Services (020 8746 5800). Opening Times are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
