The Gordon Hospital is a 90-bedded hospital for adults aged 18-65 with mental health problems, serving the Victoria and West End areas. It has three open admission wards, a 12-bedded Intensive Care Unit, a Day Services unit and an Outpatients' Department.
The service is supported by a range of multi-disciplinary staff, including Consultant Psychiatrists, Junior Doctors, Nursing Staff, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists.
Referrals are usually made by the Local Community Mental Health Teams (Victoria CMHT 1, Victoria CMHT 2, Victoria CMHT 3, and the West End Teams), local GPs and local Accident & Emergency. Self-referrers can be seen by the hospital's Duty Assessment Team in an emergency at any time.
